Like all of you, I wonder how the pandemic’s unprecedented shocks will change our lives. To study social and economic impacts in real time, but also understand medium and longer-term impacts, my colleagues and I launched a series of research projects, including a panel survey of U.S. households. Data show that low-income households—especially women—are bearing the brunt of worry and impact. We'll continue updating  our COVID-19 research results to keep a pulse on what is happening. (The Federal Reserve has already taken notice.)
